Hello, everyone! It’s Mayumi 🙂 How are you all doing? Enjoying spring? GREAT! Today, I’m going to share my super yummy Green Smoothie Recipe for you. “Green!? NO NO NO.” Yes yes yes. It’s green smoothie but I promise it’s super yummy and doesn’t taste any green!
I usually have some kind of smoothies for breakfast to wake up my body. It’s super easy to make so it’s perfect for the busy morning.

All you need is
- Some greens. I usually use spinach but you can also use kale which is very hard to find in Japan.
- A banana (you can also use frozen bananas)
- Frozen strawberries and blueberries
- 2-3 tea spoon of chia seed
- A tea spoon of coconut oil (Don’t add if you’re allergic to coconut!)
- Some honey
- Some water
- Some ice cubes
- You can also add protein powder if you have any 🙂
A banana is a key to this smoothie because it really works well as a natural sweetener along with honey. Also, I recently discovered that coconut oil is really good for smoothing up the smoothie and make it slightly sweeter and creamier. If you don’t like the taste of coconut, don’t worry. A spoon of coconut won’t make it taste like coconut!
Then all you have to do is put the ingredients and just mix it until it get nice and smooth. You don’t want any spinachy chunks in it, well, I don’t.
Once it’s nice and mixed evenly, just pour it into a glass and there you go! Super easy, quick, and yummy smoothie is ready for your morning.
